01 / Match the application

Chilled or frozen?

Choose the required storage temperature first. A display freezer is designed to hold pre-frozen goods; it is not a substitute for equipment that freezes warm products.

02 / Measure the route

Think beyond floor space.

Check entrances, passages and the final cabinet position. Allow for ventilation, door movement and the electrical requirements in the model’s installation instructions.

03 / Confirm the details

Get the model right.

Send us your available space, intended products and delivery postcode. We can help you compare the listed models and confirm availability, warranty terms and delivery arrangements.

For model-specific technical information, consult Staycold’s specification sheets and the instructions supplied with your unit.

Do you deliver Staycold units to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban?

Drinking Waters offers delivery across South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban. For a Staycold cabinet, confirm the delivery charge, lead time and site access with our team before ordering. Tell us about stairs, narrow entrances or unloading restrictions so the delivery can be planned for your premises.

What is the difference between a beverage cooler and a display freezer?

A beverage cooler chills suitable drinks; a display freezer holds pre-frozen products. They serve different temperature requirements. Staycold specifies that its display freezers should not be used to freeze ambient or warm products. Choose the model for the products you intend to store and confirm its operating specification.

Should I choose hinged doors or sliding doors?

Hinged doors need space to swing open in front of the cabinet. Sliding doors avoid that swing area and can suit tighter service spaces. Compare access, cabinet dimensions and the ventilation clearances in the exact model's installation instructions before choosing.

Which Staycold cooler fits under a bar or counter?

Start with the underbar range, including the SDU2000 sliding-door cooler and HDU1800-HC hinged-door cooler currently listed by Drinking Waters. Measure the available width, height and depth, then allow for the specified ventilation and door access. An upright cooler should not be substituted for a purpose-designed underbar unit.

Are Staycold coolers manufactured in South Africa?

Staycold International manufactures commercial refrigeration at its factory in Parys, South Africa. Drinking Waters supplies the Staycold products listed in our online range from our Cape Town-based business.

How do I check price, stock and lead time?

The product cards use the current prices and availability recorded in our online catalogue. Open the relevant product page to check the full listing, then contact our team to confirm the exact model, finish, lead time and delivery charge before placing an order.

What should I check before installation and ordering?

Check the model's external dimensions, route into the premises, ventilation clearances, door opening space and electrical requirements. Follow the manufacturer's installation and care instructions. Ask Drinking Waters to confirm warranty terms and the support process for your selected model before ordering.
